Heli Skiing Facts:

Season: January 18th through March 31, 2020

Terrain: Unspoiled Idaho State Forest land, consisting of everything from cornice topped alpine cirque bowls and huge powder fields developed by an historic forest fire to narrow rock lined chutes and, of course, the famous Selkirk snowghost covered runs from treeline. Runs range in length upto 2200ft.

Snowpack: Reliable and consistent. We draw moisture from the north and south, so we’re usually in the path of storm systems all season long. That equates to over 300″ during an average season, with a stable snowpack averaging about 120+ inches in depth holding from January thru March

Safety: Selkirk Powder is a licensed Level II Alpine Ski Outfitter, and also operates it’s own professional division of National Ski Patrol. Our ski and snowboard guides are well seasoned and specially trained

Helicopters: Our helicopter contractors fly Bell 407’s and Eurocopter AS350 B2/3 “A-Stars”

Heli-port locations:  Sandpoint, Idaho and Priest Lake
