Heli skiing
We have the heli operations experience to ensure a smooth and fantastic day. The terrain in our land-use permit is superbly suited for heli skiing: 4 zones totaling approximately 15,000 acres above 5,000 ft. If you have access to a helicopter, we would be happy to discuss the best possible experience we can create for you.
The tour price excludes 6 % Idaho state tax; online and direct reservations incur a 6 % booking fee.
Each guest must sign a waiver before participation.
Our southern section of the Selkirks is fantastic and consists of everything a heli skier looks for from cornice-topped, alpine cirque bowls and huge powder fields (developed by the historic Sundance Wildfire of 1967) to narrow rock-lined chutes and—of course—the famous Selkirk snowghost-covered runs from treeline. Runs range in length from 800 ft up to 2,200 ft.
We draw moisture from the north and south, so we’re usually in the path of storm systems all season long. That produces over 300 in during an average season with a stable snowpack depth averaging about 120 in that holds from January through March. The snowpack, a cross between maritime and continental, bonds up pretty consistently till season’s end.

Payment
All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Promotions & discounts
Any promotion or discount must be redeemed only by calling reservations directly. No promotion and/or discount will be applied after the reservation has been made and full payment has been received.
Cancellations
Any cancellation made within 21 days of the scheduled tour date are 100 % non-refundable – no exceptions for any reason, not even airline delays, road closures, family emergencies, personal injury, etc. We encourage all guests to consider purchasing travel insurance with enhanced coverage (“Cancel For Any Reason” rider) through an outside provider such as InsureMyTrip.
Reservation changes
You may request date changes to your tour date outside of 21 days of your booking. Changes to your reservation are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee of $100 per person.
Tour cancellations due to mechanical issues or unsafe conditions
Selkirk Powder Company has no control over Mother Nature. We tour in sun, snow, rain, wind, or any combination of interesting weather. It is, after all, an alpine environment. Be prepared, and dress accordingly. SPC reserves the right to cancel a tour for mechanical, weather, safety, personal or any other circumstance. You will be issued a full or partial credit valid for 1 year from the original tour date. No refunds will be issued. If your tour is cancelled multiple times, your credit still expires after 1 year – no extensions will be applied.
Policy changes
SPC reserves the right at any time, and at its sole discretion, to modify any policies set out above, with or without notice other than publishing such modifications on our website. It is your responsibility to review policies on our website for updates and/or changes. Your reservation and/or use of our services following any such policy modification constitutes your acceptance of any modified policy.

The Helo pilot is a first rate aviator who handles the rotors as if they are an extension of her body as she shuttles you from peak to powdery peak opening up the menu of endless terrain varying in style and difficulty that will meet the appetite of every Snow addict. Every time you step out above the cornice euphoria begins again as you prepare to map out every turn you realize this is YOURs and you are now King! You’ll glide through shoots and trees and ridge lines as the feathers of powder leave a phantom trace of your existence sifting through the fresh cool North Idaho air. This experience cannot be oversold. It is a near spiritual experience accompanied by guides that feel more like they are lifelong friends and the only objective is to stretch the smile on your face as big as it can possibly grow. I had the most amazing time and will forever be a Selkirk Powder Fanatic! If you love the Deep and are looking for a life changing experience. There’s only a few days in your skiing life that stick with you as the ‘best days’. Selkirk Powder managed to make that happen.
Numerous runs on untracked alpine pitches. Check.
Ridiculous sunny weather over a fresh foot of pow. Check.
Helicopter taking my friends and I to whatever peak we point to. Double Check...
Great outfit, Pilot is extremely capable. Guides are competent and affable, fun to ski with and know what they are doing. a fantastic day, providing for all of our needs, feeding us the best lunch I’ve ever experienced in any heli operation anywhere.
This place is right in our backyard. Worth every penny.

We Went Heli-SKing this week after going on a few Cat-Skings Days with them, and it was an amazing day. Perfect Weather with amazing views and skiing conditions.
Ill be doing this again every year when I come back to the IDaho!!!

Such a cool day all around, so excited barely slept the night before and it didn’t disappoint. Our first run caption Kimber landed on the top of a Mountain in fresh pow, I looked at my buddy shaking my head in disbelief that we were about to get out of this chopper and ride down..... our guides Keen and Reese killed it! They We’re focused on keeping us safe and getting us some fresh tracks !! Can’t wait for the next opportunity to do this!

This was so much fun! The guides were so knowledgeable and made sure to get the best and most skiing out of the day. It was worth every last dollar. They were also super personable and funny, we felt like we were out skiing with friends. The views really added to the whole experience and the cherry on top was lunch. We flew in to have lunch at an awesome resort on the lake, the food was 5 stars and we were treated like celebrities! I'll definitely be heli skiing with them again as well as checking out their other adventures.
