Find flow

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer!

Up here in Sandpoint, it seemed to pass by in a blur with time spent riding mountain bikes at Schweitzer, staying on chores at our Priest River ranch, and some special time visiting the Family at a gathering in Franconia, New Hampshire—it was great to see Cannon again and remember that the Notch is a very special place indeed.

Now that the Autumnal Equinox is upon us and the first mentions of snow are in the daily forecast, we find ourselves accomplishing final preparations like maintenance to snowcats and sleds, cutting brush, welcoming back our guides and support staff, and reinvigorating marketing efforts.

Find flow

To kick off Pow’ 2019/2020, we’re introducing a new branding campaign: Find Flow. Whether you’re slicing turns with us skiing, making miles sledding, or participating in one of our self-propelled backcountry programs, flow is the state of mind we aspire to bring you to—every time.

You might be on our new website!

To convey our offerings, we’ve launched a comprehensive new website. It’s full of aerial images, action shots of guests and guides alike, and other eye-candy. It also describes our new backcountry programs and so much more, including links to new lodging options and the ability to order our recently released logo merchandise.

To see these gorgeous photos and perhaps leave some ’s about your own experience (you can do so at the bottom of an adventure’s page), we invite you to visit us on the new selkirkpowder.com.

Flow Pass: 10 seat cat skiing pass

Do you or someone you know want to cat ski with us for more than just a few days this season? And save 30 % off the single-day price? If that's a resounding, “Do I ever!,” then the Flow Pass is for you! Enjoy ten sessions of flow without the pressure of nailing down specific dates. This authentic mountain-style pass comes with your personally chosen picture and a unique digital code for convenient anytime-booking. And what’s best: it’s transferable, so you can flow with family and friends!

Back to the skin-track

We’re hearkening back to our roots with human-powered backcountry skiing programs. We’ve developed four tours using Schweitzer Basin as the hub and are working towards touring in the heli terrain as well.

On the education front, we’ve partnered with AIARE provider Kaf Adventures of Seattle to provide the courses Avalanche Rescue, AIARE 1, and AIARE 2.

Thank you for reading this first issue of Flow. In the next newsletter, we’ll update you on how the heli skiing program is taking shape and on the incredible reception that our newest receive.

As you’ve come to expect, we’re all excited to be with you on your next powder-bound adventure with us. Here’s to deep powder and big smiles!
